Hi lemuel, I'm glad you find the article useful. Reportedly, garlic can also help in lowering cholesterol. But, I've never used garlic for this purpose except in small quantities for cooking. So, I'm afraid you'd have to try it out and let us know :)

Hi dermacai, I know how you feel. There are a number of conflicting reports in the past that are confusing everyone.

However, the latest one seems to be saying that dietary cholesterol plays a minor role in elevating one's cholesterol level. Saturated fat and trans fat are the main culprits.

Anyhow, I still enjoy eggs 3 times a week, taking one each time. There's no reason to abstain from eggs because they contains lots of good stuff -- high quality protein, selenium, carotenoids and an array of vitamins and minerals -- and low saturated fat.

But, as I said in my article, if something is good, it doesn't mean you should binge on it. Moderate your intake to ensure that you are getting all the goodness without the negative side effects. Hope this helps.

What I want to know is, can we eat eggs or not?? Remember those commercials with people in egg suits talking about how eggs aren't bad for your cholesterol like previously believed? But then I heard again that it's not good to eat eggs too often. So which is it?
