Disclosure

The contents on this website, The Conscious Life, are written and edited by me — Wee Peng Ho. The views and opinions expressed are purely my own.
As much as I enjoy creating useful contents, running this site does take up a large portion of my time. So I do accept advertising, sponsorships, affiliate programs and other forms of compensation to keep this site, and myself, alive.
Here are the guidelines that I operate under when it comes to accepting compensation, as well as the forms of compensation that I accept:
- I am not paid to do reviews. I invest my own time and energy to review the products you read on this site.
- I don’t accept free, discounted, or loaned products or services for reviews. I either pay for them out of my own pocket, or I borrow them from libraries as in the case for some books. Sometimes, sponsors do provide giveaways or samples which I will then give away as contest prizes to my readers. I don’t keep any giveaway for my own use.
- I do create affiliate marketing links to products that I think are useful, relevant and high-quality. That means, if you decided to buy a product through one of these affiliate links, I may get a small referral fee.
- I believe in providing truthful opinions, findings, or experiences of products and services. As such, the referral fee I may receive does not affect the contents I create for this website.
- Like many websites, I carry advertisements in the form of text and images on this site. When you visit, buy and/or sign up something from advertisers that you’re interested in, I may also get a small token.
It’s also important for you to know that there are also areas where things don’t fall under my control. They are:
- Ads from advertising networks. It’s not possible to control every single advertisement that comes through this channel. So, please be aware that displaying these ads here doesn’t necessarily mean an endorsement of the advertisers.
- Although I may find some products and services great, I cannot guarantee that they are the best, most appropriate or lowest priced for your situation. There are just too many variables that will affect your perception of a product or service, such as your location, preferences, budget and etc. You should always verify any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.
Thank you for visiting The Conscious Life. I hope you will learn something useful here. If you like to get in touch, you can sign up for my newsletter, find me on Facebook and Twitter, or send me a note.
