A big welcome to the Carnival of Healing edition #206! This issue we have an interesting mix of blogging personalities with each one bringing a piece of their history, talent, experience and advice to the occasion.

The result is a bunch of inspiring and fun people with some pretty amazing stories to tell! Without further delay, let’s check out who they are:

1. Chris, the Former Wallflower

First, let us give a warm round of applause to Chris. A self-professed dork, Chris used to be a shy and awkward guy who preferred to spend more time with virtual characters in the computer than with real people. But instead of wallowing himself in a state of “neuroses, shyness, insecurity, and negativity”, he took the courage to overcome his social ineptitude and bring us the site Succeed Socially, which is packed with tips like Why You Need To Directly Practice Your Social Skills and How To Do It.

2. Kara Jones, Bereaved-Mother-Turned-Coach

Looking at the funny videos made by Kara, it’s hard to associate words like grief, loss and death with her. But some major pain she did go through when she found out that her son was stillborn in 1999. Kara, or better known as Mother Henna, is now a visual artist, and grief & creativity coach. Her new creative group exploring the “heART of Life & Death” will be starting on 17 September 2009. Find out why she chose this topic and get your invitation to join her in this cute vlog entry.

3. Patti Lecron, the Cancer Survivor

When someone in your family had fought the battle against cancer and won, it gives you some confidence and assurance when you’re diagnosed with similar ailment. Medical checkups would also become less stressful, and might even become “clubbish” as what happened to Patti and her husband. Read her light-hearted anecdote on “Why is a good doctor like a good restaurant? … It’s hard to get a table!”, and don’t forget to get the contact of her doctor in France.

4. Daylle Deanna Schwartz, the Recovering Doormat

Most of us have gone through times when we were treated unfairly and yet we were too fearful to do anything about it. So it’s comforting to read Daylle’s experiences and see some reflection of ourselves in some of them. In August, she started a series of posts on the Law of Attraction in Action and it’s now at its 52nd post! If you want to know why the Law of Attraction has seemingly stopped working for you, then go check out her blog.

5. Chris M, the Agile Late Starter

Chris started poorly in school, but he didn’t let this deter him from living his passion — martial arts — and sharing it with others through his blog, Martial Development. On his site, he shares ways on how to integrate the principles of martial arts into everyday life, from health and fitness, to meditation and spiritual cultivation. Check out the excerpt from an interview with Dr. Yang Jwing-Ming, an acclaimed author and teacher of Chinese martial arts, who recounted how he learned Tai Chi Chuan to cure his stomach ulcer.

6. The Unnamed Awakened Philosopher

Though there’s no name associated with this blog (blog owner: feel free to send me your real name), the article Judging by Potential, struck a chord in me. Often, we are so used to passing judgments on people and things that it has become an unconscious habit. But as this blogger will tell you, by passing judgment on others, not only are we overlooking the infinite potential in each of us to become a better person, we’re also judging ourselves at the same time. How did he or she know? Quoting the author, it “takes one to know one!”

Scientific Living: Judging by Potential

This concludes this week’s Carnival of Healing. Last week, Phylameana lila Desy of Spiral Visions was our host. Next week, 19 September, the Carnival of Healing will be hosted by Clara Myers at Mind Mart.
