and why no mention of cannabis-although illegal in most states, it works well as both pain reliever,
anti-inflamatory, sleep aid, and a number of other little things like cancer, tumors, anxiety disorder, (once you know what it is) etc.

Very interesting information and responses. I knew very little about the herb side of anti-inflammatorys. I live in Spain and can get lots of herbs from the health food shops that can be made into teas. I will just have to start translating the herbs mentioned here into Spanish to see if I can get them easily. Look forward to any updates.

Helo, i enjoyed reading about the natural probiotics and got deeply interested in knowing more on how to prepare them at home, however its sad that most of the ingredients you mentioned are not here in Zambia. I wanted to find out if you know their substitute. It appears that no research has been done here as there is no information on plants that act as probaotics . I eat sauerkraut from supermarkets. I sometimes use Probiflora and also Colax for cleaning the colon to reduce the pumped up upper stomach.
Thank you, Martha Kembo, Lusaka, Zambia

Thank you for writing this article.

I have been suffering with major GI track issues for the past year.
I swore it was chrones or ulcerative colitis. But drs seem to think I have trouble with lower gut transit...as well as pelvic floor dysfunction. I did
Biofeedback therapy...I was able to train my anal sphincter muscles but this has not solved the problem. Its like stuff gets stuck in the left part of my lower colon...like it doesn't reach my rectum. Doctors are baffled...I now am beginning to think its hirschsprungs but they don't think it can b that bc I didn't have it as a baby. Needless to say I am afraid to eat too much food...my diet is terrible..I often have to rely on hard candies to keep my blood sugar up which does not help with my inflamation in my small bowel...so frustrating.

I started taking a probiotic on my own accord and thanks to ur article just started taking aloe and slippery elm.

I've just about had it with GI doctors they have no answers...I feel like I'm my own dr as I now have been researching helpful articles such as yours.

If anyone has any advice id greatly appreciate it.
