My body is showing signs of fighting off a viral intrusion since yesterday. Sneezing, running nose and headache have been with me for the past two days. Thankfully the symptoms are mild, so I still feel well enough to go about my daily activities without much interruption.
As usual, I will let my body ward off the virus on its own without any medication. Of course, that’s only valid for as long as the symptoms don’t go out of hand. A 39 degree Celsius fever or an intense headache will see me reaching for a dose of paracetamol quicker than the blink of an eye.
It’s funny how often we take our health for granted, only to be jolt awake by the lost of it. But, illnesses need not be suffering. They are life’s way of telling us what have a negative affect on us, and the sooner we heed the advice of our body, the faster we will discover the type of food, lifestyle and relationships that are most suitable for us.
